Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Sotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas misses with the combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sotto. Lucas does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sotto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lucas tries to buck Sotto off but Sotto is having none of it.

Sotto might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lucas kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sotto is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sotto in particular looking to stall.
Sotto is looking to advance position but Lucas won't allow it.
Sotto stalling away here and it's allowed Lucas to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lucas is trying to control here but Sotto has managed to regain half guard.
