The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar misses with a head kick.
Silva darts in trying to clinch
letting Lesnar counter with a right hand.

Lesnar moves into the clinch.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lesnar throws a head kick that misses

and Silva counters by clinching up.

Lesnar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva jabs Lesnar right on the nose. Lesnar blinks but takes it well.

and Silva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silva rushes Lesnar and presses him up against the cage.

Silva breaks the clinch.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Lesnar's head back.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
Silva takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Silva manages to break the clinch.
Silva misses with a double jab
and Lesnar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lesnar dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Vitor Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brock Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lesnar takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lesnar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lesnar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Silva rushes Lesnar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lesnar wants to break free but Silva has control.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva throws a series of punches but Lesnar avoids them all with ease.
Silva lands a jab to the head.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Lesnar.
Silva is working Lesnar over against the cage.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lesnar tries to land a body kick
and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Lesnar will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lesnar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Silva has closed the distance and engaged Lesnar in a clinch.
Silva lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A nice combination there by Silva.

Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Lesnar seems to have recovered his senses.

Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Lesnar down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Lesnar back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva feints a jab promting Lesnar to slip. Silva then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lesnar slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Silva is working the combinations to good effect here.

Silva catches Lesnar with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Lesnar forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
