The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Balboa with a nice cross.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Balboa is avoiding it.
Balboa connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Quinton Jackson has been cut.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Balboa sprawls well.
Balboa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jackson tries to clinch there but Balboa circles away.

Balboa moves into the clinch.

Balboa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Balboa as he jumps to the side.

Balboa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Balboa rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Balboa lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson misses with a short punch on the inside.

Balboa manages to break the clinch.
Balboa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Balboa as Jackson shoots in.

and Balboa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Balboa misses with the combination.
Balboa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Balboa's corner calls for a 1-2. Balboa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Balboa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jackson wants to control the action here but instead Balboa manages to pass to full mount!

Balboa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson gets back to half guard.

Jackson tries to get to full guard but Balboa has control of the leg.
Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson is looking for a sweep. Balboa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Balboa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jackson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off.
Balboa throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jackson scores with a punch to the head.
Balboa lands with a right and another and another! Jackson is in big trouble! Balboa lands again and this time it's lights out for Jackson! A quality knockout there for Balboa.
