Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerome McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome McCool had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerome McCool!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Daniel Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Daniels rushes McCool and presses him up against the cage.

McCool tries to pull guard but Daniels holds him up against the cage and eventually McCool drops back down to his feet.
McCool on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Knees in the clinch landing for Daniels.

Daniels drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCool wants to pass the guard but Daniels is keeping the position.

Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCool gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McCool is stalling in the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Daniels tries to clinch but McCool is having none of it.
McCool drops Daniels with a right and a left! McCool comes rushing in but Daniels regains his composure and manages to keep McCool in guard.

McCool closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

McCool swings around for an armbar but Daniels sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McCool's guard.

Daniels is fighting to break McCool's control of his arms but McCool is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McCool bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daniels's guard.

Daniels is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! McCool is forced to tap! Great finish!
