Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hofniel Apollyon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apollyon comes to the cage accompanied by On My Own-Alone . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Apollyon can pounce on him.
Apollyon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Apollyon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Rocha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rocha closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Apollyon's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Apollyon pushes Rocha off and gets back to his feet.

Apollyon has one foot on Rocha's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Apollyon throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Apollyon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rocha.

Rocha looking to score a takedown here. Apollyon is defending well but Rocha drives through and ends up in Apollyon's guard.

Rochais looking to pass into half guard but Apollyon pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Apollyon is in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hofniel Apollyon just wasn't active enough.

and Apollyon counters with a left to the body.

Rocha moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Carlos Rocha has been cut.
A head kick from Apollyon lands but Rocha takes it in his stride.
Apollyon throws a front kick that sends Rocha stumbling back into the cage.
Rocha misses the shot to the body.
Rocha pivots, looking for a leg kick but Apollyon is out of range and Rocha settles back down.
Apollyon thuds a left hand into Rocha's body.

Rocha moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rocha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apollyon's waist but Apollyon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rocha off to one side.
Apollyon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Apollyon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Apollyon is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Rocha takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A clash of legs there as Apollyon blocks the low kick.

Rocha takes a kick to the side of the head.
Apollyon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rocha takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That has opened up Carlos Rocha's cut even more.
Apollyon tries to clinch up.

Apollyon throws a shot to the body.
Apollyon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Apollyon.
Apollyon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Apollyon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rocha, pushing him back against the cage.
Rocha is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Apollyon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Apollyon manages to break the clinch.
Apollyon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Rocha looks to land a combination but Apollyon avoids it well.
A cross from Apollyon lands.
Apollyon scores with a nice head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Apollyon works the jab nicely.
Rocha is breathing heavily.
Rocha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Apollyon as he avoids it easily.
Hofniel Apollyon is winning the standup battle so far.

Apollyon lands a really nice looking cross but Rocha seems unphased.
Apollyon throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rocha stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Apollyon.
Apollyon jabs Rocha right on the nose. Rocha blinks but takes it well.
Apollyon tries to clinch up.
Rocha on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Apollyon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rocha can do to turn this around?
Rocha takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Carlos Rocha is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Apollyon lands a left and a right that send Rocha crashing to the mat, dazed. Apollyon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Rocha is still on wobbly legs! Can Apollyon finish him?

The cut above Carlos Rocha's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Apollyon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Apollyon pounces like a tiger and cracks Rocha with a vicious hook! Rocha is down but not out! Apollyon follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
