And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fedor Emelianenko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Milson has gone for a leg lock! Emelianenko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Milson's guard.

Fedor Emelianenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A decent looking cross lands there for Milson.

Max Milson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Emelianenko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Max Milson has been cut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Milson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Emelianenko has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Milson but great work by Emelianenko.

Emelianenko throws a strike but Milson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
