The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read fails to land the takedown.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Read's guard.
Read working a defensive guard here.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Read keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
Read looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Read is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie wants to get up but he can't break Read's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Read wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Read with a poor takedown

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
