Mallorca comes into the arena with I Can Talk blaring out of the sound system. Koch is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Volbeat - A Warriors Call. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Mallorca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Koch!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch lands a body shot.
Mallorca throws an off balance right hand

so Koch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koch wants to control from the top but Mallorca keeps moving.
Koch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koch is looking to work some ground and pound but Mallorca has wrist control.
Koch is looking to stand up but Mallorca won't let him.
Koch looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Koch trying to control but Mallorca is working from the bottom.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mallorca keeping full guard, as Koch tries to pass.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Koch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Michael Koch.
Mallorca throws a sloppy body shot
and Koch counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Koch looks for a takedown but Mallorca sprawls well.
Miguel Mallorca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mallorca misses with a hook
and Koch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Mallorca scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mallorca misses with a low kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mallorca lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Koch has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Koch and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Koch throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mallorca sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Koch has taken the fight to the clinch.
Koch blocking some punches.
Koch lands a body shot in the clinch.
Koch wants to get back to striking at distance but Mallorca won't allow it.

Stalling in the clinch from Koch.
Mallorca has Koch pushed against the cage.
Mallorca struggles to land a body shot inside as Koch controls his hands.
Mallorca content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Mallorca misses with a punch on the inside.
Koch is trying to drag Mallorca to the mat but Mallorca just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Koch lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mallorca is trying to break the clinch but Koch is controlling him.
Koch wants to stall.
Mallorca tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Koch's elbow.

Mallorca has had enough of the clinch but Koch keeps him there for the moment.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Koch.
Koch swings wildly with an uppercut but Mallorca uses good head movement to avoid it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mallorca is trying to break the clinch but Koch has him pressed against the cage.

Koch breaks the clinch.
Mallorca misses with a left hand

and Koch counters with a single leg into guard. Mallorca didn't expect that.
Mallorca working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Koch.
Koch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Koch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mallorca works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koch stops Mallorca from standing up.
Koch wants to pass the guard but Mallorca is keeping the position.
Koch's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Koch dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Koch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Koch not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mallorca avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Koch.
Mallorca wants to get back to his feet.

Mallorca is defending against the submission attempts here by Koch.
Koch keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Koch thows a huge punch but Mallorca dodges it nicely.

Koch missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Koch in particular looking to stall.
Koch moves into full mount! Mallorca won't be happy about that!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Koch looking to ground and pound but Mallorca is blocking nicely.
Koch won't let Mallorca get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Koch lands a heavy elbow.

Koch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mallorca is looking to escape.

Koch is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mallorca can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Mallorca is rocked!

Koch unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Mallorca wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Koch celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
