Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredriksson comes to the cage accompanied by Shurik'n - Samourai . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Fredriksson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jordan Swift!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swift swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Swift!

Fredriksson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Swift to the mat! Swift manages to get full guard.

Swift is wriggling around but Fredriksson manages to pass to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fredriksson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Swift's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Swift is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fredriksson misses with a body punch
and Swift counters with a series of strikes. Fredriksson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fredriksson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Swift.
Swift throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fredriksson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Swift's guard.

Swift can't keep his opponent in guard - Fredriksson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Swift wants to stand back up but Fredriksson manages to pass into side control.
Swift is letting Fredriksson control him for a moment.

Fredriksson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fredriksson throws some wild stikes that Swift manages to avoid easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Swift really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fredriksson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fredriksson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fredriksson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swift looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lucas Fredriksson will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fredriksson closes the distance and clinches up with Swift, looking for a takedown. Fredriksson pushes Swift against the cage but Swift circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Swift pushes Fredriksson off, looking to escape but Fredriksson dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Swift is forced to tap! The fight is over!
