The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yre is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lopez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Yre counters by moving into the clinch.

Yre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yre tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Lopez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yre's guard now.
Yre is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lopez chips away with some ground and pound.
Lopez passes Yre's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lopez trying to control from half guard but Yre is working away.
Lopez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lopez is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Lopez there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Lopez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Yre turns into him and now he's in Lopez's guard.

Yre has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lopez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Yre is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lopez pulls down on the head and he's put Yre to sleep! This one is all over!
