The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Late tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson wants to clinch.
Late works over Johnson's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Brett Johnson has been cut.
Late throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johnson blocks the body kick.
Late stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Late fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Late's waist but Late gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Late throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Late looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Late fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Late is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Late circles away and we're back to standing.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Johnson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Late throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters circling a little - Late finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Scott Late is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Johnson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Late to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Johnson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Late pulls down on the head and he's put Johnson to sleep! This one is all over!
