The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KayO circles away from the clinch attempt.

KayO clinches up with Micahels and pushes him back against the cage.
Micahels tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
KayO with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

KayO tightens his grip and picks Micahels up, before dumping him to the ground. Micahels manages to land in guard.

KayO has gone for a leg lock! Micahels slips out almost immediately though and dives into KayO's guard.

KayO isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Micahels stacks KayO on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Micahels!

With the fighters up against the cage, Micahels throws an elbow but misses.
KayO changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Micahels fights it off and pushes away nicely.

KayO is working for a guillotine from mount but Micahels frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

KayO swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Micahels is now in KayO's guard. A big mistake from KayO there, giving up the dominant position!

KayO lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Micahels!

KayO looking for a guillotine from mount but Micahels is having none of it.

KayO goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Micahels is on top in guard.

Micahels knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for KayO on the ground.
Micahels wants to get up but he can't break KayO's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Danny Micahels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Small Fry KayO.

KayO shoots in but Micahels avoids the takedown attempt easily.

KayO drops back looking for a leg! Micahels is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Micahels manages to kick KayO off! KayO jumps back into Micahels's guard.

KayO throws a strike but Micahels rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

KayO had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Micahels is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. KayO Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Micahels's back instead.

Micahels holding both KayO 's hands and preventing any damage.

KayO is working for a rear naked choke. Micahels is not defending it well and KayO has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Micahels refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Micahels's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
