Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blade Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Kontio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kontio gets a double leg takedown into Nakamura's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Nakamura is trying to control the position but Kontio postures up.

Nakamura is looking for a kimura but Kontio is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nakamura to get the leverage.

Nakamura is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kontio has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kontio pushes Nakamura away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nakamura gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kontio bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Nakamura bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kontio's guard.

Nakamura wants to stand but Kontio has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Nakamura trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kontio can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kontio has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nakamura off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Ted Kontio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looks like Ted Kontio has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Nakamura! Kontio is backing up but he can't get away as Nakamura lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Kontio and ends the fight. Great knockout.
