Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suzuki comes to the ring accompanied by Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. Sackett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. She Hates Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Suzuki.

and Suzuki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sackett fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Suzuki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sackett lands a nice hook to Suzuki's body. Suzuki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Sackett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sackett dips to his left and cracks Suzuki with an uppercut!

and Sackett counters with a right hand to the body.
Suzuki throws a leg kick which misses Sackett's front leg but catches the back leg as Sackett tries to avoid it.

and Sackett counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Suzuki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sackett avoids the head kick by Suzuki.
A combination from Sackett does no damage.

and Sackett counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Sackett connects with a solid leg kick.
Suzuki will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Suzuki fails with the takedown
and Sackett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sackett jabs at Suzuki's body.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Suzuki might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Sackett missing with a left hand there. Suzuki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.

Suzuki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Suzuki.
Suzuki throws a looping overhand right but Sackett ducks down to avoid it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Suzuki. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Suzuki misses with a lunging right hand
and Sackett counters with a nice low kick that buckles Suzuki's knee momentarily.
Suzuki throws a series of punches but Sackett moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Suzuki lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sackett doesn't seem phased though.
Daisuke Suzuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daisuke Suzuki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Suzuki lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Sackett counters with a slapping leg kick.
Suzuki throws a hook but Sackett blocks it.
Suzuki misses with a body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Sackett misses with a lunging right hand
and Suzuki makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Suzuki has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sackett.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Sackett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Suzuki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sackett rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Suzuki counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Suzuki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sackett to the ground. Suzuki is now in Sackett's guard.

Suzuki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Suzuki passes Sackett's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Suzuki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sackett is just riding it out for now. Suzuki eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Suzuki looking to sit in guard and control but Sackett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sackett cracks Suzuki with a solid left hand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Suzuki looking for subs off his back but Sackett has passed one foot through into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sackett working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sackett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Suzuki works his way to full guard. Good work.
Suzuki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sackett manages to get himself to full guard.
Suzuki looking to sit in guard and control but Sackett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sackett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suzuki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sackett has managed to get both his arms back between Suzuki's legs - danger averted.
Suzuki is trying to keep Sackett in close.

Suzuki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sackett defends well.
Sackett wants to control from the top but Suzuki keeps moving.
Sackett is in close to Suzuki's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Suzuki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sackett defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daisuke Suzuki.
I think Sackett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
