Woodley wants to clinch
and Pena counters with a single leg into guard. Woodley didn't expect that.
Woodley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pena thows a big elbow that misses.
Pena missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pena throws a big right hand that misses.
Woodley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pena.
Pena is looking to work some ground and pound but Woodley has wrist control.
Pena with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Pena thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Pena thows an elbow strike that misses. Woodley gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Pena doesn't seem too bothered but Woodley quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Pena is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Pena really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
