Goku comes to the cage accompanied by Cha-La-Head-Cha-La. Anichebe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Give me hope. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Victor Anichebe has been cut.
Anichebe closes the distance but Goku moves to the side
and Goku counters with a one-two to the body.
Anichebe misses with a double jab

and Goku counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Goku swings wildly with an uppercut but Anichebe uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Goku makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Anichebe really felt that one!

and Goku cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sloppy strikes from Goku. Those never looked like landing.
Anichebe shoots in looking for a takedown. Goku tries to sprawl out of it but Anichebe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goku manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Goku lands a really nice looking cross but Anichebe seems unphased.
Goku throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Anichebe to counter with a crisp jab.

and Goku counters with a flying knee. Nice.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Goku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Anichebe.
Nice body kick there by Goku.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Anichebe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Goku - the referee stops the clock and Anichebe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Goku. Anichebe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Goku creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Anichebe is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Goku is defending well for now.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Goku creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Goku drops Anichebe onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Anichebe is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Anichebe is rocked!
Goku dips a shoulder and cracks Anichebe with a mighty uppercut! Anichebe falls back against the cage and Goku unloads with a barrage of strikes! Anichebe is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Goku screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
