Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Jack Of Speed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mike MacDonald had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James looking to score a takedown here. MacDonald is defending well but James drives through and ends up in MacDonald's guard.
James thows a big elbow that misses.
James throwing strikes from guard but MacDonald blocks nicely.
James with a flurry of punches that miss.
James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
James wants to pass the guard but MacDonald is keeping the position.
James wants to control from the top but MacDonald keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jacob James hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
James shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as MacDonald sprawls well. MacDonald wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. James gets slowly back to his feet.
James looks gassed!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! James crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from MacDonald - the referee stops the clock and James gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says MacDonald. James manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
MacDonald doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.

MacDonald moves into the clinch.

MacDonald pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Whack! MacDonald lands a heavy head kick that drops James. The ref tackles MacDonald to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because James was done.
