Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Kordic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Narcaleptic Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Kordic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Narcaleptic Arlovski!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kordic tries to clinch
and Arlovski counters with a nice kick to the body.
Arlovski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kordic drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Arlovski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kordic takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Arlovski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kordic has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Arlovski throws a head kick but Kordic moves out of range.

Kordic closes the distance but Arlovski moves to the side
and Arlovski counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Arlovski counters with a stiff right hand.
Kordic closes the distance looking to clinch
and Arlovski counters with a right hand to the body.
Kordic moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kordic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Arlovski on the side of the head.
Arlovski is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Arlovski circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kordic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kordic moves to clinch but Arlovski breaks away
and Arlovski counters with a right hand to the body.
Kordic wants to clinch but Arlovski slips to the side
and Arlovski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kordic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kordic lands in his opponent's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kordic avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kordic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arlovski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arlovski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kordic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kordic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Narcaleptic Arlovski dominated that round.
That's time! Kordic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kordic gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Arlovski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Arlovski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
John Kordic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arlovski lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kordic takes a step back to recover.

and Arlovski counters with a head kick. That will keep Kordic thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Kordic feints and as Arlovski raises his hands in defense, Kordic changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kordic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arlovski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kordic has managed to get both his arms back between Arlovski's legs - danger averted.

Kordic postures up in Arlovski's guard and throws a big left but Arlovski blocks it.

Kordic thows a big elbow that misses.
Kordic is posturing up here but Arlovski has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kordic tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kordic has to tap! Slick submission there by Arlovski!
