The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LesnAr misses with a takedown
and Ramirez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
LesnAr goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ramirez prevents it.
LesnAr changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ramirez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kein Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock LesnAr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramirez tries to clinch but LesnAr moves out of range.
Brock LesnAr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

LesnAr has clasped his hands together around Ramirez's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but LesnAr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
LesnAr grinds an elbow into Ramirez's temple.
LesnAr lands a decent elbow from side control.

LesnAr postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
LesnAr scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ramirez to see if he's OK.
