These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Copperfield gets the takedown into side control.
Copperfield is trying to move to mount but Sagat reverses beautifully and ends up in Copperfield's guard.

Copperfield has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sagat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Copperfield working for submissions but it's allowed Sagat to get to half guard.

Copperfield is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sagat pulls his head out easily.

Sagat decides to return to a standing position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sagat connects with a high kick.

It looks like Jamie Copperfield has been cut.
Copperfield fails with the takedown
and Sagat counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Tong Sagat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sagat lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Copperfield circles away quickly and effectively.

Sagat lands a big head kick that sends Copperfield tumbling to the mat! Sagat takes a step backwards and waves Copperfield back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Sagat misses with a few strikes there.
Copperfield drops his hands for a split second and Sagat immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Copperfield face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Sagat follows up with a right hand that knocks Copperfield into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
