The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddell thuds his right hand into Cote's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Liddell sizes up Cote with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Liddell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Liddell drops Cote with a beautiful combination! Cote stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Liddell is looking for the KO!
Cote takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Liddell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cote on the side of the head.

Liddell punishes Cote's body with a nice straight punch.
Cote takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Liddell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Liddell connects with a combination that backs up Cote into the ropes. Liddell lands a flurry of punches that gets past Cote's guard. Cote is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Liddell bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
