The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Love gets the takedown into side control.
Hill dodges the ground and pound from Love.
Love tries to move to mount but Hill blocks the move with his legs.
Hill regains half guard.
Hill tries to roll over but Love keeps him under control.
Hill is not content to let Love control the position.
Hill is trying to get back to full guard.
Love lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Love sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hill defending well though.
Hill is looking to improve his position.
Love wants to advance to full mount but Hill doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Love landing with the ground and pound.
Hill is trying to control the position but Love postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Love lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Love sitting in guard here, content to control.
Love won't allow Hill to sweep him here.

Hill controls Love momentarily but Love frees himself.

Hill trying to control but Love is having none of it.
Love wants to hold on but Hill pushes him away.
Hill looking to land elbow strikes but Love uses the position to regain half guard.
Hill is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hill unloads with some shots from mount but Love bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Puppy Love dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Love tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Love looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hill!
Hill can't escape the position.
Love raining down hammerfists from mount.
Love is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hill can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
