The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almost Perfect has his takedown stuffed
and Cooke counters with a one-two to the body.

and Cooke counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Almost Perfect really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Almost Perfect jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cooke walks away with a smile on his face. Almost Perfect gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cooke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Almost Perfect swivels though and keeps the full guard.
