Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arco Amon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Makkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makkonen has chosen Metsämiehen Laulu as his entrance music. Aulis Makkonen has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makkonen closes the distance but Amon moves to the side

and Amon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Amon just leaning against Makkonen, taking a breather.
Amon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Makkonen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Amon backwards.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Amon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Amon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Makkonen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Amon counters with a single leg into guard. Makkonen didn't expect that.
Amon postures up.
Amon is looking to work some ground and pound but Makkonen has wrist control.
Amon looking to sit in guard and control but Makkonen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Amon is controlling Makkonen's posture.

Makkonen tries to free his leg and advance position but Amon is retaining full guard.
Amon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Makkonen is one step ahead there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Amon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Amon has his hands on Makkonen's head, controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Amon throws a leg kick

and Makkonen counters by clinching up.
Makkonen blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Amon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Makkonen has him pressed against the cage.
Makkonen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Amon's efforts to push away.
Makkonen wants to stall.
Amon blocks an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amon pushes Makkonen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Amon has a couple of punches blocked by Makkonen.
Amon landing knees to the head.

It looks like Aulis Makkonen has been cut.
Makkonen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Makkonen gets through Amon's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Makkonen scores with a nice hook to the head.
Amon is trying to break the clinch but Makkonen has him pressed against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Amon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Amon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Makkonen closes the distance looking to clinch
and Makkonen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Amon cracks Makkonen with a good jab.

Makkonen is rocked!
Amon moves in close and cracks Makkonen with a massive right hand! Makkonen, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Amon!
