I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Spike Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Fonzarelli thuds his right hand into Smith's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fonzarelli avoids the head kick by Smith.
Arthur Fonzarelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Fonzarelli's head but Fonzarelli sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fonzarelli throws an off balance right hand
and Smith makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fonzarelli really felt that one!
Smith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Smith lands with a straight right. Fonzarelli didn't see that one coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fonzarelli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fonzarelli misses with a right hand
and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Fonzarelli.
Fonzarelli swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fonzarelli uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fonzarelli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Some wild striking there from Smith.

Smith misses with a looping right.
Fonzarelli lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Smith falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
