Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamyatin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ferguson counters with a straight right hand.
Ferguson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zamyatin defends it nicely.
No joy there for Ferguson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zamyatin looks to land a left hand but Ferguson moved out of range nicely.

Zamyatin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Ferguson looks up at the clock and then as Zamyatin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ferguson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ferguson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Zamyatin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ferguson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
No luck for Zamyatin with that takedown attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ferguson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Check out the look on Ferguson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Ferguson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ferguson wants to control but Zamyatin is keeping him busy.

Ferguson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Zamyatin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ferguson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Ferguson looks up at the clock and then as Zamyatin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ferguson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ferguson has an Americana. Zamyatin didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ferguson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ferguson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
