Martyn has chosen Live For The Moment as his entrance music. josh Reed had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Martyn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martyn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reed is looking to stand up but Martyn isn't so interested in that idea.
Martyn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Martyn pushes down on Reed's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Martyn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Reed defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Reed is trying to get back to his feet but Martyn has full control of the position and if anything, Reed has just worked his way into a worse spot.
