PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kiyoshi Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumoto kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Carl Douglas - Kung fu fighting. Terry has chosen england belongs to me as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kiyoshi Matsumoto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Terry!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsumoto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A right-left combo lands from Matsumoto.
Matsumoto keeps the fight on the outside.
Terry throws a leg kick

and Matsumoto counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Matsumoto passes to side control.
Matsumoto lands a few punches from side control.
Matsumoto controls the position.
Terry stops Matsumoto from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Matsumoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Terry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Matsumoto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matsumoto wants it to stay on the feet.

Terry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matsumoto.

Daniel Terry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Kiyoshi Matsumoto will probably get the nod.
