Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc Kerrr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerrr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thompson's guard.
Thompson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Thompson is looking to stand up but Kerrr isn't so interested in that idea.
Kerrr wants to stand but Thompson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kerrr trying to control the position from guard on top but Thompson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kerrr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kerrr is pushing down on Thompson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thompson is fighting to maintain full guard but Kerrr has managed to sneak the leg through.

Kerrr had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Thompson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kerrr Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Thompson's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thompson turns into Kerrr and is now in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerrr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thompson's guard.

Thompson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kerrr clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kerrr manages to reverse the position and now he's in Thompson's guard. Nice work there by Kerrr.

Kerrr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerrr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kerrr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kerrr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thompson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Thompson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kerrr gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Thompson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Thompson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Thompson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thompson throws a series of punches but Kerrr avoids them all with ease.
Thompson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Thompson has managed to clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kerrr.
Kerrr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Kerrr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kerrr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thompson scores with a nice head shot.
Kerrr has a takedown stuffed.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kerrr lands a hook that stumbles Thompson back into the cage. Kerrr follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Thompson to the canvas! Kerrr pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Thompson has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
