Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Hear Me Now. Ruoska has chosen Rolling Stones as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruoska misses with a body shot.

Ruoska closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Morgan quickly recovers to half guard.
Morgan has hold of Ruoska's hands but Ruoska slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morgan is doing well to control the position and prevent Ruoska from advancing to side control.
Ruoska wants to advance to full mount but Morgan doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Ruoska stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morgan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ruoska is working away from the top position though.
Ruoska slips a nice elbow through Morgan's hands, connecting with Morgan's forehead.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morgan wants to improve his position but Ruoska is controlling well.
Oh Morgan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morgan has hold of Ruoska's hands but Ruoska slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ruoska lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Morgan quite badly. Morgan pulls Ruoska in close trying to recover. Ruoska postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Morgan on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Morgan doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
