Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Fernan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Male Nurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse tries for a takedown but Fernan circles away easily
and Fernan counters with a slapping leg kick.
Fernan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nurse.
Fernan avoids the head kick by Nurse.
Fernan misses with a low kick.

Fernan lands a big head kick that sends Nurse tumbling to the mat! Fernan takes a step backwards and waves Nurse back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nurse is rocked!

It looks like Male Nurse has been cut.
Fernan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nurse is still on wobbly legs! Can Fernan finish him?
Nurse throws a right hand that Fernan ducks under and follows up with a left that Fernan also avoids with ease.
Nurse seems to have recovered his senses.

Fernan doesn't manage to clinch there - Nurse circles away.
Fernan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fernan is looking to land body kicks.
Robert Fernan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nurse shoots in but no luck this time.
Fernan tries to land a leg kick but Nurse saw it coming and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fernan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fernan lands a head kick. Nurse smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Nurse moves out of range of the leg kick from Fernan.
Nurse misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fernan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nice shot lands for Nurse.
Nurse fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Robert Fernan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Male Nurse.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fernan.
Nurse looks gassed!
Fernan throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A clash of legs there as Nurse blocks the low kick.
Fernan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fernan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nurse is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fernan is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nurse.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fernan.

Nurse steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fernan. That one must have hurt.
Robert Fernan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Good work by Nurse as he checks the leg kick.
Fernan throws a head kick but Nurse moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Fernan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fernan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nurse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fernan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fernan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nurse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fernan.
Fernan wants to clinch
and Nurse counters with a straight right hand.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Nurse might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Fernan has got the better of the exchanges.
Fernan misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nurse misses with a looping right.
Nurse tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Nurse blocks a head kick by Fernan.
Fernan connects with a solid leg kick.
Nurse is breathing heavily.
Fernan tries a low kick but Nurse avoids it.
Fernan throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Nurse counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nurse.
Nurse with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fernan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nurse is controlling him.
Nurse trying to control but Fernan is working from the bottom.
Nurse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fernan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Fernan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nurse is aware though and is defending well.

Fernan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nurse trying to control the position from guard on top but Fernan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nurse lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Nurse won't allow Fernan to get back to his feet.
Nurse passes into half guard.
Nurse prevents Fernan from standing back up.
Fernan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nurse on the ground.

Nurse in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Fernan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Nurse!
