The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jennings tries to clinch but Trager moves out of range.
Trager moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jennings has his takedown stuffed
and Trager counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jennings's guard now.
Jennings had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trager defends it easily.
Jennings looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jennings controls Trager momentarily but Trager frees himself.

Jennings can't keep his opponent in guard - Trager advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Trager takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Trager is taking a breather. Jennings says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trager seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jennings for as long as he can get away with.

Trager paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jennings misses with a hook to the body
and Trager counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Trager closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Trager is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jennings tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Trager wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jennings takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Trager works to advance to full mount. Jennings defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trager lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Trager takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Trager postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Jennings bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Trager and the fight is over!
