The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPuncherson misses with a body shot

and Faber counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Faber.
Faber has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McPuncherson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Faber wants a takedown but no success here.
McPuncherson is trying to break the clinch but Faber is controlling him.

Faber gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, McPuncherson regains guard.
Faber trying to control the position from guard on top but McPuncherson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McPuncherson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McPuncherson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Faber wants to get back to his feet.

McPuncherson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

We're going to have a standup here because Urijah Faber wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McPuncherson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
McPuncherson avoids the head kick by Faber.
Faber misses with a looping right.
Faber is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Faber scores with a nice strike.
McPuncherson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Faber at a distance.
Punchy McPuncherson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPuncherson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Faber looks for a takedown but McPuncherson sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McPuncherson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Faber sprawling to the canvas! Faber rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McPuncherson finish him?!

Faber is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McPuncherson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Faber to the canvas! Faber doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - McPuncherson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
