Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Ungowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross comes to the cage accompanied by Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Ungowa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Type O Negative - Black No. 1. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ungowa staying out of range there.
Ross connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ungowa momentarily.

It looks like Jamal Ungowa has been cut.
A bone on bone clash there as Ungowa blocks the leg kick.

and Ross counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jamal Ungowa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Ross misses the target.
Ungowa looks to land a left hand but Ross moved out of range nicely.

Ungowa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ross.
Ross with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ungowa to score with a decent uppercut.
Ungowa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Ungowa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Good leg kick by Ross there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ungowa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ungowa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
