Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chada Zdr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chada Zdr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Burgess!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgess swinging wildly here.

Burgess closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zdr did well to prevent Burgess getting side control.
Burgess performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Zdr missing with punches from the bottom.
Burgess controlling the action here.
Zdr trying to control but Burgess postures up.
Zdr pushes Burgess off looking to stand but Burgess dives back in and keeps control.
Zdr throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Burgess working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burgess is pressing down on Zdr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zdr is holding on for now.
Burgess works his foot free and advances to mount.
Burgess controlling from mount.
Burgess lands a nice shot to the head.
Burgess in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Zdr manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Burgess controlling the pace.

Burgess is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zdr!
Burgess looking to control and managing it successfully.
Zdr slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Burgess is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zdr sees it coming and defends easily.
Burgess wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zdr keeps working.
Zdr is looking to escape.
Burgess controlling the action here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burgess scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Burgess has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Burgess slows the pace down in half guard.
Zdr taking some punishment here, with Burgess in his half guard.
Zdr pushes Burgess off looking to stand but Burgess dives back in and keeps control.
Burgess drops an elbow to the side of Zdr's head.

Burgess is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zdr is just riding it out for now. Burgess eventually gives up the hold.

Zdr makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zdr.
Burgess wants to control from the top but Zdr keeps moving.
Burgess content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Burgess gets to his feet - Zdr follows without any prompting.
Zdr fails with the takedown

and Burgess moves into the clinch.
Zdr wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Burgess has him pressed against the cage.

Burgess escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zdr moves to clinch but Burgess breaks away
and Burgess counters with a nice uppercut.
Zdr is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zdr tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Burgess counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burgess with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Burgess slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Burgess dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Burgess drives through with a takedown into Zdr's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burgess won't allow Zdr to sweep him here.
Burgess engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Burgess controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Burgess prevents Zdr from getting back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Richard Burgess wasn't active enough on the ground.

Burgess is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zdr's half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Burgess in particular looking to stall.
Zdr is looking to improve his position.
Burgess passes to side control.
Burgess landing a few strikes.
Zdr is trying to improve his position.
Zdr is trying to buck Burgess off.
Zdr is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Burgess scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Zdr to see if he's OK.

Burgess has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Burgess closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zdr is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Burgess gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Zdr fails to pull guard.
Burgess connects with a knee to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Burgess creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Burgess taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Burgess tightens his grip and picks Zdr up, before dumping him to the ground. Zdr manages to land in guard.

Burgess stands up from guard. Let's bang!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Burgess clinches.
Zdr wants to break the clinch but can't.

Burgess is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zdr can't fight it off and eventually Burgess manages to take the fight to the floor. Zdr looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Burgess stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Burgess closes the distance and pushes Zdr back into the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burgess keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Zdr's efforts to push away.
Zdr is looking to break free of the clinch but Burgess has double underhooks.
Zdr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Burgess gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Burgess stalling.
Burgess has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Burgess has hold of Zdr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zdr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zdr is bucking up trying to escape but Burgess cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Burgess breaks from Zdr's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Zdr working to try and regain half guard.
Burgess postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zdr looks a forlorn figure.
Burgess lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Zdr hang on?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burgess has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zdr's face.


Zdr is rocked!
Burgess lands a big elbow - Zdr is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Zdr is forced to tap out!
