Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kio Lunguo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jet Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jet Li has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kio Lunguo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kio Lunguo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Li!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lunguo misses with a lunging right hand

and Li holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Li breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lunguo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Li lands a two punch combo.
Li moves in looking to clinch but Lunguo pushes him off.
Li lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lunguo backs up against the cage.

It looks like Kio Lunguo has been cut.
Lunguo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Li misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lunguo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lunguo decides to stand back up. Lunguo steps back and let's Li get back to his feet.

Li closes the distance and clinches.
Li lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Li breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Li throws a head kick but Lunguo moves out of range.
Lunguo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lunguo looks for a takedown but Li sprawls well.

Li leaves Lunguo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Li tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Li counters with a good low kick that Lunguo was not able to check.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kio Lunguo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lunguo is breathing heavily.
Lunguo fails with the takedown.
Lunguo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Li can pounce on him.
Li throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Li ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Li gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Li - that will leave a mark!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Li scores with a leg kick.
Li scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lunguo doesn't seem bothered though.
Jet Li is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Li gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Li stalling.
Lunguo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Li walks away with a smile on his face. Lunguo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Li cracks Lunguo with an open hand slap.
Li throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Li throws a head kick that Lunguo semi-blocks.

Lunguo is rocked!
Kio Lunguo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Li drives through and clinches with Lunguo against the cage.
Oh Lunguo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Li connects with a knee to the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Li.
Li putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lunguo in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Li crunches a lovely knee into Lunguo's ribcage.
Lunguo seems to have got his legs back now.
Li lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Li forces Lunguo back against the cage and clinches.

Lunguo dodges an elbow strike from Li.

Li changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Li lands with a slapping head kick.
Lunguo keeps the fight on the outside.
Li's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lunguo under the eye.
Lunguo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Li tries to avoid it but Lunguo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Li to the ground. Li escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Li lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lunguo tries to clinch there but Li circles away.

Li using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lunguo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Li with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Lunguo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Li prevents it.

Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Li works over Lunguo's head and body with a nice combination.

Li moves into range and clinches up with Lunguo.
Li is trying to maintain a safe position but Lunguo gets an underhook and turns Li into the cage.
Li unloads a knee to the mid-section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jet Li dominated that round.

Li drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lunguo tries for a takedown but Li circles away easily
and Li counters with a right hand to the body.
Lunguo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Li manages to avoid it.
Li dips to his left and cracks Lunguo with an uppercut!
Li thuds his right hand into Lunguo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Li is looking to clinch.
Lunguo shoots in but no luck this time.
Lunguo throws a lazy uppercut
and Li counters with a big head kick but Lunguo shrugs it off.
Li has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Li drops Lunguo with a naaaaasty hook - Lunguo is in real trouble here! Li dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
