The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silveira shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense.

Silveira feints and as Emelianenko raises his hands in defense, Silveira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Emelianenko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silveira defends well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silveira connects with a nice short shot to Emelianenko's temple.

Silveira is nestled in close to Emelianenko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
