And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yedo shoots and misses
and Miles counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Miles not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Miles content to control rather than advance.
Yedo works his way to full guard. Good work.
Yedo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Yedo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Yedo has his foot on Miles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miles works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miles cracks Yedo with a solid left hand.

Yedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Miles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yedo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miles has managed to get both his arms back between Yedo's legs - danger averted.
Miles thows a big elbow that misses.
Yedo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miles defends well.

Yedo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Miles frees his head nicely. Oh but Yedo has switched to an armbar! Miles is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
