PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Senjin Teranova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crazy Monkey!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teranova darts in and clinches Monkey up against the cage.

Teranova jumps guard and drags Monkey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Monkey trying to control the position from guard on top but Teranova is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Teranova escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monkey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Teranova had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Monkey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Teranova Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Monkey's back instead.
Monkey tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Monkey is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Monkey tries to lock up and control but Teranova gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Monkey is desperately trying to improve his position but Teranova has a good base and remains in mount.

Monkey tries to roll over but Teranova keeps him under control.
Monkey is not content to let Teranova control the position.

Monkey wants to stand but Teranova is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Teranova stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monkey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Nice takedown defense from Monkey. No joy for Teranova on that attempt.
Monkey tries to clinch up but Teranova circles away and keeps his distance.

It looks like Senjin Teranova has been cut.
Monkey lands a brutal head kick. Teranova looks out on his feet and Monkey throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
