McDonald comes into the arena with Nicole - By Ash blaring out of the sound system. Walker has chosen Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold as his entrance music. Royston McDonald had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald is not content to let Walker control the position.

Walker is looking to take a break and control but McDonald is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McDonald can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walker is looking to escape.
McDonald is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Walker is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That was a close round but I would say that Royston McDonald will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Walker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walker.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McDonald is pulling down on Walker's head to control his posture.
McDonald wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment.
Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Royston McDonald wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Walker doesn't manage to clinch there - McDonald circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Royston McDonald will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Walker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McDonald.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and McDonald counters with a nice leg kick.
McDonald misses with a wild body shot.
Walker closes the distance and clinches up with McDonald, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes McDonald against the cage but McDonald circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Walker looks to land a combination but McDonald avoids it well.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McDonald, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
