These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a jab.

and Uchicha counters with a crisp one two that drops Jackson! Uchicha thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jackson to his feet! Jackson is in big trouble!
Jackson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Uchicha counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jackson thinking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Uchicha walks into a left hand.
Jackson throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Uchicha counters by clinching up.
Jackson can't get the takedown.
Uchicha drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jackson jumps guard but Uchicha stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Uchicha.
Jackson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Uchicha creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jackson's defenses.

Uchicha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Uchicha sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Uchicha shoots and misses
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Uchicha is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
A jab from Jackson does it's job there.
Uchicha misses with a double jab
and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jackson cracks Uchicha with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jackson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Uchicha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jackson.

Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Uchicha ducks down to avoid it.

Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Uchicha on the side of the head.

Quinton Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uchicha walks into a left hand.
Jackson connects with a single shot there.
Uchicha tries to move into range but Jackson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Uchicha takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Uchicha looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jackson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Uchicha. Jackson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
