The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey throws a low kick but Lao moves out of range easily.
Harvey thuds his right hand into Lao's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Chico Lao has been cut.
Harvey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lao's head.
Harvey tries to clinch up.
Harvey leaves Lao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Harvey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lao moves away.
Harvey throws a nice outside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harvey lands a big head kick that sends Lao tumbling to the mat! Harvey takes a step backwards and waves Lao back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Harvey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harvey tries to avoid it but Lao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harvey to the ground. Harvey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harvey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lao misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chico Lao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lao is breathing heavily.
