The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riggins rushes Meyairda and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Meyairda lands an elbow that stopped Riggins in his tracks for a moment.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Meyairda just misses with a elbow thrown towards Riggins's brow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Meyairda is looking for a sweep. Riggins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Meyairda tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Riggins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Riggins is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Meyairda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riggins is working away from the top position though.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Riggins here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Meyairda is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Riggins is defending well for now.

Riggins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Riggins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Riggins holds on and takes a little breather.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riggins is on top in guard.

Tim Riggins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Riggins is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Meyairda is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tim Riggins showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Riggins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
