Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kotaro Hakku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakku tries to clinch up but Gomez circles away and keeps his distance.
Hakku fails in his attempt to clinch.

Gomez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hakku throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gomez looks to land a combination but Hakku avoids it well.
Hakku fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Gomez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Gomez makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hakku really felt that one!

and Gomez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Gomez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Kotaro Hakku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hakku on the wrong end of a nice jab.

and Gomez counters with a big head kick but Hakku shrugs it off.
Hakku throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hakku looks for a takedown but Gomez sprawls well.
Hakku scores with a sloppy right hand. Gomez should have avoided that one.

Horrible takedown by Hakku or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomez which made him look bad.
Gomez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hakku is out of range and Gomez settles back down.

and Gomez counters with a three punch combo that has Hakku backing up. Hakku nods at Gomez to acknowledge the strikes.
A combination from Gomez does no damage.
Takanori Gomez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Gomez counters with a good low kick that Hakku was not able to check.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hakku lands with a big right hook that stumbles Gomez - he's out on his feet here! Hakku follows up with another monster hook that separates Gomez from consciousness! Gomez falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Hakku stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
