Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vic Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vic Odin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Randy Marsh's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vic Odin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Odin takes the fight into the clinch.
Odin lands a hook that snaps the head of Marsh backwards.
Odin misses with a hook to the ribs.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Odin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Marsh prevents a body shot from Odin.
Odin lands a body shot in the clinch.

Marsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Odin darts in trying to clinch
and Marsh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Odin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Odin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marsh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Marsh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Vic Odin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Odin falls off balance throwing a combination

and Marsh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Odin's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marsh has gone for a leg lock! Odin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marsh's guard.
Odin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vic Odin.
Marsh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Marsh connects with a body shot that sends Odin's belly button to the back.

Marsh wants to pass the guard but Odin is keeping the position.

Odin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marsh on the ground.

Marshis looking to pass into half guard but Odin pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Odin is in guard.
Marsh wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Marsh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Odin won't be happy with that.

Marsh works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Odin wants to control but Marsh postures up.
Odin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marsh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Marsh looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Odin is avoiding damage well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Marsh drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A left and a right from Odin both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Randy Marsh has been cut.
Odin throws a lazy right hand but Marsh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Odin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Marsh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Odin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marsh is standing up over Odin. Odin looks to escape but Marsh dives into side control.
Odin is letting Marsh control him for a moment.
Odin can't do much from the bottom here.

Marsh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Marsh sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Odin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Marsh tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Marsh tries to move into full mount but can't pass Odin's legs.
Marsh tries to score with some ground and pound. Odin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marsh wants to control but Odin is keeping him busy.

Marsh is trying to get an arm triangle but Odin is defending well.
Odin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Marsh manages to get to full guard.
Marsh manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Marsh throws a wild left hand from mount and Odin manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Marsh moves into full mount! Odin won't be happy about that!
Odin wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Marsh is persistently looking for the submission but Odin is defending it well.

Odin looking very determined here, making life difficult for Marsh.
Marsh is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Marsh gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Marsh gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Marsh apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Odin tries to clinch but Marsh moves out of range.
Odin misses with a hook

and Marsh counters with a shoot takedown. Odin fights it but they end up in guard.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Odin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marsh drops back looking for a leg! Odin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Odin manages to kick Marsh off! Marsh jumps back into Odin's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Marsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Odin misses with the combination.
Marsh throws an overhand right that lands on Odin's shoulder, as Odin tries to avoid the shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Odin, as that shot connected.

Odin gets caught flat footed, as Marsh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Marsh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Marsh is looking to take a break and control but Odin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marsh stalling away here and it's allowed Odin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Vic Odin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Marsh throws and elbow that misses. Odin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marsh's guard. Nice move by Odin!

Marsh has a closed guard, preventing Odin from standing up.
Odin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marsh is on top in guard.
Randy Marsh has got the better of the ground game so far.

I've got Marsh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
