Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Seb Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arran Keates!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams clinches with his opponent.
A left hand lands to the body for Keates.

Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Keates scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Williams tries to land a leg kick but Keates saw it coming and moves away.

Williams gets a takedown into half guard.
Williams performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Williams's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Williams stands up from half guard.

Keates misses with a low kick.
Williams throws a lazy head kick
and Keates counters with a body kick.
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Keates tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Williams is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Keates's head.
Keates has hold of Williams's hands but Williams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Williams slows the pace down in half guard.
Keates moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Keates tries to strike from the bottom.

Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Keates is trying to control the position but Williams postures up.

Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Williams is breathing heavily.

Williams gets to his feet - Keates follows without any prompting.
Keates shoots and misses

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Keates wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
Keates keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Keates is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Williams stops Keates from standing up.
Williams is fighting to break Keates's control of his arms but Keates is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keates manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

Williams wants to get back to his feet but Keates is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Keates wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
Keates trying to stand up but can't free himself from Williams's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Keates shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely.

and Williams counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Williams.
Williams pushes down on Keates's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Keates is trying to stand back up but Williams is controlling him

Keates tries to kick Williams off but Williams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Williams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Keates is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Keates avoid being mounted?
Keates is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Keates closes the distance but Williams moves to the side

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Keates lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Williams!
Williams wants to control but Keates is having none of it.
Williams is squirming around, avoiding Keates's attempts to control the action.
Keates lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Keates trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Keates might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Keates wants to take Williams's back but he can't do it this time.
Seb Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Keates avoids the attempt from Williams to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Keates jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Williams manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Keates misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Keates misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Keates is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Keates tries to score with some ground and pound. Williams controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seb Williams dominated that second round.
That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Williams has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Keates finds it's way round the side to connect with Williams's head.
Keates throws a series of strikes that have Williams backpedaling.


It looks like Seb Williams has been cut.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Williams moves into the clinch.
Keates has Williams pressed against the cage, preventing Williams from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Williams keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Keates's efforts to push away.
Keates jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Keates gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Seb Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Keates lands a two punch combo.
Keates shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely.

and Williams counters with a shoot takedown. Keates fights it but they end up in guard.
Seb Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arran Keates.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Keates manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Keates wants to control the pace but Williams is squirming around nicely.
Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Keates throws some wild stikes that Williams manages to avoid easily.
Keates trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Keates works his way to his opponent's back.
Keates throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Arran Keates has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Seb Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Williams rolls, trying to escape but Keates keeps control of the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arran Keates comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Williams has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
