The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McEvoy cracks the inside of Daniel's front leg.
Daniel shoots in for a double leg but McEvoy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Daniel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McEvoy counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McEvoy throws a nice outside leg kick.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but McEvoy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and McEvoy counters with a crisp one two that drops Daniel! McEvoy thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Daniel to his feet! Daniel is in big trouble!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
