Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zac Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Younes Melaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melaan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by badr hari-badboy. Zac Attack has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Younes Melaan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Attack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Melaan to the mat! Melaan manages to get full guard.
Melaan wants to stand up but Attack is controlling him.
Attack slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Attack is looking for a kimura here.
Melaan is trying to stand up here but Attack is controlling him well.
Melaan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Attack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Melaan looks like he's trying to stand up.

Attack looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Attack is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Melaan defends it well.
Attack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Attack postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Melaan to stand up.

Melaan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Attack counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Melaan!

Attack jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Melaan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Melaan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Attack is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Melaan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
