Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Niob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff John Gailfus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gailfus has chosen Gary Allan-Watcing Airplanes as his entrance music. Jeff John Gailfus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gailfus misses with a head kick.
Niob tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Gailfus holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gailfus tries to pull guard but Niob won't allow it.

Gailfus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Niob tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gailfus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gailfus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Niob looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Niob wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Niob pushes Gailfus away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gailfus gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
