The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex walks into a stiff left hand from Bailey.

Bailey wants to clinch up but Fairtex keeps it at a distance.

Bailey works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Bailey drops back looking for a leg! Fairtex is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fairtex manages to kick Bailey off! Bailey jumps back into Fairtex's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Bailey will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fairtex throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Bailey or perhaps it was just good defense by Fairtex which made him look bad.

Fairtex clinches up with Bailey and pushes him back against the cage.

Fairtex breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bailey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fairtex tries to avoid it but Bailey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fairtex to the ground. Fairtex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Fairtex connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Bailey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fairtex won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
